The Enogastronomic tour will let you discover the flavours of Abruzzo. An interactive food and wine journey that will guide your trough the knowledge of the typical ingredients and products of this region. The concept of the enogastronomic tour itinerary is to let discovery the tastes of Abruzzo from visiting the places where the typical ingredients are grown or bred to their tasting and to experiencing their manufacturing. Adorned by wonderful landscapes you will experience the real tastes of Abruzzo being also part of an Italian cooking lesson.

Collection at Fiumicino airport at 4 p.m. and transfer to Sulmona where after hotel check-in a welcome aperitif is offered with typical Abruzzo’s wines. A briefing is followed to introduce the enogastronomic tour, Sulmona and to present the main points of interests and activities included in the following days of the tour. A dinner is then provided in the historical center of Sulmona.
In the morning transfer to Navelli where one of the best saffron in the world is cultivated. You will explore the history and the characteristics of this amazing ingredient surrounded by a wonderful Italian landscape. At lunch is time to taste the flavours of “Terre di solina”: restaurant which preserves the Abruzzo’s tradional cooking and ingredients targeting excellence with its own vegetable products. After some minutes of relax it will the moment to visit wineyard and cellars of one of the most famous Abruzzo wine maker. Coming back to Sulmona and time to relax.
This day is dedicated to the mountain and it’s farming activy. In the morning transfer to Scanno lake and mountains with a breathtaking scenic drive trough amazing canyons. Will be then time to visit a typical Abruzzo farm and learn about traditional farming activities with sheeps and cows experiencing the preparation of typical dairy products. After a real Abruzzo lunch on the mountains we come back down to Scanno where free time will be available to discover this little little town jewel famous for its unique and refined gold manufacturing. Eventually coming back to Sulmona for free time.
Sulmona is famous in the world also for its sweets called with the Italian name of “confetti”. The day starts from the visit of the oldest confetti factory where the soft aroma and the unforgettable taste of these sweets will seduce you. However this day is dedicated to cooking, so just after the visit you will be invited to make shopping at the market of Sulmona where from 700 years the people meets on wednesday and saturday to buy local goods. The cooking teacher will guide you through the amazing tastes of a real Italian market. Once all the ingredients have been selected you will be transferred to Pacentro, a wonderful small village with a magnificent view on the Peligna valley. It is now time to prepare your lunch under the guide of your cooking teacher. You eventually deserved your free time to be spent visiting the village of Pacentro or to relaxing in Sulmona. The tour will finish with a dinner at “Taverna de li Caldora” in a beautiful ‘500 ancient palace.
Transfer to Fiumicino airport for the end of the tour.
